K E Carmel School, Amtala, is an Institution of Catholic Missionary Fathers of CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) Religious Congregation. The Institution is immediately under K E Carmel Group of Schools, West Bengal, India. It follows
ICSE and ISC Syllabus from classes Nursery to 12.
K E Carmel School, Amtala campus has been thoughtfully created with young learners in mind, providing an environment that truly supports each child’s learning. The belief that education is a shared responsibility is an important
part of our philosophy. Learning occurs through engagement with other students, with adults and with the larger community. It takes a village to raise a child. Our campus is unique with abundant greenery and with most modern facilities
for academic, sports, games, arts, and other informative zones.
Mission
The CMI Mission aims at an education by which character is formed, strength of mind increased, intellect expanded and to help one stand on one’s own feet with a conviction that everyone is a precious gift of God.
Curriculum
The school is affiliated to the ICSE & ISC syllabus. The well devised curriculum aims to build up a reputation for academic excellence and successfully guide the students to broaden their horizons and venture out in the competitive
world of today with confidence. The curriculum seeks to develop a healthy mind together with a healthy body which is sought to be achieved by the varied and versatile co-curricular activities of the school.
Teaching Methodology
An innovative, child- friendly method of teaching is followed with special attention on individual potential. Apart from leading the students successfully on the path of academic excellence, the main aim is to facilitate and guide the
students to become globally competent for their future career by providing them ample opportunity to blossom and realize their potentials.

Origin
K E Carmel Society for Social Action Programme is an organized autonomous non political, non sectarian, non racial voluntary social organization. It was registered in 2010 with the basic objective of empowering the rural poor children,
to be united and to help them demand their educational rights. The society not only works for the poor children but also with the poor people respecting their direction and giving much value on their plans and actions.
Our vision and mission
Being aware of the fact that educational process is the most important human resource development, we have given first priority to the education of grass root level people. Our emphasis is on making people literate and consequently
developing the society. It is a service agency dedicated to the body of Christ irrespective of caste and creed to fulfill the task. The motto of KECSAP is to “worship the Lord through service”.
Activities of Our Ministry
Our activities aim at integrated rural development which will improve the living as well as normal standards of the local inhabitants.
History
K.E.Carmel School belongs to a CMI Group of Schools in Paschim-Banga. It draws inspiration from St Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805-71), a visionary and social reformer of divine calibre, and the founder of two religious congregations
among the St Thomas Catholics in India, namely, the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) for men and the CMC (Congregation of Mother of Carmel) for women. After his example, we have started more than 650 schools, 30 colleges and 8
Teachers Training Colleges in India (like Christ College, Bangalore, Jagdalpur, Irinjalakuda, Bhopal, KE College Mannanam, SH College) for educating socially useful citizens with a strong conviction that each one is a precious gift of
God.
