History of school
St Paul’s Boarding and Day School, founded in Kolkata in 1912 is conducted by the Religious Congregation of the Daughters of the Cross. The Congregation founded by Mother Marie Therese Haze in 1833 in Liege, Belgium, has been active in the sphere of education throughout the world, ever since its foundation.

St Paul’s Boarding and Day School is a Catholic School established and administered by the Congregation of the Daughters of the Cross in the Roman Catholic Church. As its central motivating force it has the experience of God’s Love revealed to all men in the suffering and death of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

As Daughters of the Cross, the Cross of Christ the sign of Peace and Love, the Centre of Mother Marie Therese Haze’s life from which she drew her strength and inspiration, urges us, her daughters to be educators in Joy and Hope.

With Christ we desire to bring about the liberation of every person, especially the weak, poor, the handicapped, the depressed and rejects of Society. In the spirit of Mother Marie Therese we are committed to the education, primarily of Catholic girls. Attentive to the times we minister to the just educational needs of our ever-changing society.

School anthem
Our voices we raise
To honour and praise,
The school we will love, to the end of our days
Loyal and faithful, true to its cause,
We will strive for the Glory of St Paul’s.

Ch: God bless St Paul’s
God bless St Paul’s
Bless staff and students
Within its walls,
Wisdom and courage
Strength of mind and heart
To each and everyone in part,

Be where we may, at work or at play
We’ll uphold and abide what we do or say,
Now and forever, to it we renown
For we will never, never let it down.
