St Xavier's School, Pedong, established in 1987 is a unit of St Xavier's Educational Trust. The School is recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and is affiliated to ICSE and ISC, New Delhi. It is a minority Christian School under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Darjeeling and is managed and administered by the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of paddy fields, serpentine rivers and snow capped mountains, St Xavier's School, Pedong, provides an ideal atmosphere for an all round growth and development of its pupils.

St Xavier's aims at the integral formation of the young. To accomplish this it endeavours to create an environment which generates a love of learning, habits of critical thought and accurate expression and the strength of character and moral values needed for life that is socially meaningful. Therefore efforts are made to teach the students:
