Ushagram Boys’ High School was established in 1904, by a benevolent Christian Missionary Rev William P Byers. It is one of the oldest as well as renowned educational institutions in Asansol where Bengali, Hindi and Urdu were
introduced under the same roof. The school was built to enlighten the backward people of the coalfield area specially the SC/ST and OBC. The roll strength of the school is about 1000.
